ABOUT
THE MOVE

OUR HISTORY.

Co-founders George Class-Peters and Alexis Wrease were inspired to start The Move as the 2024 election cycle neared. Through conversations with their peers, it became clear that Gen Z felt a deep sense of disappointment and hopeless in the current political landscape. They also recognized there was a lack of dedicated resources and attention to youth voter mobilization, despite the importance of this election cycle at the national, state, and local levels.

George and Alexis decided to take action to encourage their generation to not only show up and show out at the polls, but embrace their power to enact policy change.

Out of many conversations with one another and community members, The Move was created.

The Move focuses on voter education and voter mobilization. There are helpful resources, like an easy to use resource guide and a video series called "The Breakdown" all aimed to help young voters learn the political landscape and the different ways to be civically engaged. The Move is community centered, and as such, the voter mobilization efforts involve candid discussions at community centers, college campuses, and more with young voters to empower us all to make a difference.
